In 2006, John Warner IV and his late stepmother, Academy Award winning actress Dame Elizabeth Taylor, teamed up with Operation Gratitude to bring holiday joy to thousands of overseas troops.  John donated more than 10,000 of the 4-volume collectible DVD series that he produced to Operation Gratitude for the all-volunteer national non-profit’s annual holiday packages.  Dame Elizabeth, a NASCAR fan herself, penned a letter to the troops that was included in each of these holiday gift packages, thanking them for their service and reminding them that “our country is blessed by your courage, your dedication and your enormous personal sacrifice.”
